Responsibilities:
- Operate phone systems and handle emergency and non-emergency calls
- Dispatch public safety personnel to incidents and locations using GPS and communication systems
- Transcribe and maintain accurate records of calls, incidents, and actions taken
- Provide information and assistance to the public regarding public safety services
- Monitor alarm systems and respond to alerts as necessary
- Assist with data entry and record management
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Skills:
- Knowledge of medical terminology and first aid procedures
- Familiarity with law enforcement protocols and procedures
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficient in data entry and computer skills
- Ability to negotiate effectively in conflict situations
