An established, independent used car dealership is seeking an experienced Service Advisor to join our team. As a high-volume dealer, we offer a significant number of potential customers, providing ample opportunities for success. We are looking for a skilled professional who is committed to delivering exceptional service and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The Service Advisor will be responsible for welcoming customers, understanding their needs, creating repair orders, and overseeing the entire repair process through to completion. You will maintain regular communication with customers, ensure timely delivery of vehicles, and assist fellow advisors to ensure a positive guest experience in line with our service process. Additionally, you'll handle service claims, submit reports to Accounting promptly, and act as the liaison between the Service and Sales Departments to address post-sale customer needs.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule appointments
- Maintain a positive, efficient work environment
- Ensure customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service
- Take ownership of the customer experience, handling additional tasks to leave a lasting positive impression
- Provide concierge support for all owner inquiries, ensuring customers are well taken care of
- Follow up with warranty companies to ensure timely payment of service claims
- Administer service paperwork and reports to the Accounting Department
- Perform various duties in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Communicate clearly and listen effectively with customers and associates, both in person and over the phone
- Assist other Service Advisors and the Sales Department in resolving customer issues
- Perform other tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in an Automotive Service Department required
- Dealertrack DMS experience is a plus
- Organized and friendly personality
- Proven ability to manage others
- Strong time management skills
- Excellent communication skills with customers
- Professional, well-groomed appearance
- Clean driving record and valid NCDL
- Willingness to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Availability to work Saturdays
