Hansen's IGA is now hiring a Smokehouse Production Supervisor for our Bangor, WI location. Hansen's IGA offers a fully comprehensive benefits package, PTO program, and a 401k plan match.
Job Duties:
Assists the Smokehouse Plant Manager by working closely with all Smokehouse team members to ensure all department goals and objectives are being obtained and all standards are being met.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs tasks as delegated by the Smokehouse Plant Manager and effectively leads the Smokehouse Department in the absence of the Department Manager.
- Answers questions and provides guidance to all Smokehouse Department team members.
- Keep tabs on future ad items to prepare the Production Floor appropriately so production goals are met on time to fulfill orders.
- Efficiently cook and wrap meat products.
- Stock the meat department display, face product, and check for expiration dates.
- Cleaning duties include but are not limited to washing, scrubbing, mopping, sweeping, etc.
- Follow and adhere to established ingredient and recipe standards at Hansen’s Smokehouse.
- Maintain the organization of the freezers and coolers.
- Monitor temperatures of meat to adhere to food safety and State health regulations and company policies.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Food production experience required; smokehouse preferred.
- Must have experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability is a must in this role.
- Previous experience in a leadership position is desired.
- Previous experience wrapping/cutting meat is preferred.
- Looking for someone who naturally goes above and beyond and takes pride in their work.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift 60lbs occasionally, 30lbs regularly.
- Stand for the duration of the work shift.
- Reaching, pushing, and pulling regularly.
- Squatting and stooping regularly.
- Ability to work in a wet/cool environment.
Hours: 1st shift Monday-Friday, some Saturdays are required.
