Position Summary:
The Store Director is responsible for all store functions, results, and staff in the store and must represent Hansen's IGA’s image in a positive manner by providing our customers with helpful, courteous and exceptional service.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meet store profit goals and objectives set by the Corporate Office.
- Responsible for cash budgeting and cash flow maintenance of the entire store.
- Monitor inventory controls for every department.
- Generate weekly store schedules by noon on Thursdays.
- Create and make merchandise displays.
- Order merchandise in a timely manner.
- Check-in merchandise to make sure the store receives what the invoice indicates.
- Delegate responsibilities and tasks to store team members.
- Oversee the training of all new staff.
- Direct and enforce company policies to all team members.
- Make decisions regarding store policies and functions.
- Handle customer concerns and/or complaints.
- Direct or show customers where items are in the store.
- Accurately follow all store policies and procedures.
- Must know all functions of all store departments; including but not limited to: deli, meat, produce, dairy, and bakery.
- Must know and perform other duties when needed, included but not limited to: cashiering, courtesy counter, stocking, rotating/facing product, cleaning duties, etc…
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Two years of grocery retail experience is required.
- Previous management experience is a must.
- Must be able to effectively direct and enforce company goals and policies to staff.
- Proven ability to perform work independently to achieve company goals.
- A friendly, courteous, service-oriented attitude is important in this role.
- Honest, team-oriented person who has a solid work ethic and productive nature.
- Ability to appropriately handle confidential information.
- Willing to become community involved.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Results oriented.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Must be 18 years or older.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift 50lbs occasionally, lift 20lbs regularly.
- Stand and walk for the duration of work shift. Sitting occasionally.
- Reaching, pushing, and pulling merchandise regularly.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
