Hanson Faso is a food broker of Specialty, Natural, Perishables, and Confections with over 50 years of industry experience. We are currently looking for an experienced Account Manager to work in the Michigan market. We are looking for an individual who will bring integrity, sales experience, and a strong work ethic to build our portfolio.
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Lead in overall strategy for our clients at assigned customers.
- Maintain full understanding of how customers work, including market positioning, policies and procedures, customer base and promotional strategy.
- Set sales goals for customers as a whole, and by client.
- Target and maintain the right mix of items from each client.
- Create and maintain positive working relationships with key decision makers at assigned accounts.
- Work all aspects of gross margin analysis and target pricing to achieve margins.
- Develop, execute and monitor merchandising & promotional plan for maximizing results.
- Gather, organize, and review sales data from warehouse and customer perspectives.
- Understand competition to increase the ability for clients to better compete.
- Manage the cost of covering assigned account including the amount of money spent on in store work.
- Train, manage and assess the job performance of direct reports.
- Maintain high level of knowledge about the happenings within assigned territory and overall industry.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Strong work ethic and task oriented.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external personnel.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 25lbs.
- Previously experience in account management in grocery required.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
