What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Programmer position at Hanson Mold?
Hanson Mold, located in St. Joseph, Michigan, specializes in the design, build, sample, and inspection of precision molds – primarily for the die cast industry. Hanson Mold is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill a CNC Programmer position on our first shift. Standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and maintain CNC programs for mills, using 2D prints and solid models.
- Develop machining processes, or review existing processes for improvements with cost reductions.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to facilitate completion of assignments.
- Provide support to the manufacturing, quality, and engineering departments as required.
- Operate a CNC mill as needed.
EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years in CNC programming, machining, tool design or process development.
- Software: NX & Work NC preferred.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Active learning, good judgment, and time management skills.
- Good mechanical knowledge.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
