What You Will Do:
Develop CNC Programs for new products and optimize CNC Programs for existing products
Reviews 3D CAD design blueprints
Determine ideal speeds, feeds, inserts and tooling to ensure manufacturing consistency
Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints and other data and then perform all the necessary calculations
Set up and operate CNC Machines when needed for verification purposes
Assist manufacturing engineering with fixtures and planning of new product lines or revised product lines
Assist in the concept design of required tools and gages, support changes to existing tools and fixtures as improvements are identified
Support lean activities both within the Engineering department and across the organization
Creates programs and modifies existing ones for increased efficiency
Make improvements to set up times for a task and contouring of complex geometries
Required Competencies, Skills and Knowledge:
High School Diploma or GED
5 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of electronics and machine tools
Experience in programming
Certification from a technical school
Creates programs and modifies existing ones for increased efficiency.
Must have superior computer programming skills.
Must have excellent reading comprehension skills.
Good math skills, especially algebra, trigonometry and physics.
Good active listening skills.
Must have good problem-solving skills.
Must have excellent time management skills.
Must have good organizational and planning skills.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be mechanically inclined.
Knowledge in machining a variety of materials
Must be highly detail oriented.
Must be able to work effectively with little or no supervision.
Must have the ability to write and read complex spreadsheets.
Must have the ability to read blueprints.
Knowledge of safety measures pertinent to each job assignment.
Knowledge of Mastercam CAD/CAM Software
Preferred knowledge in Mazatrol programming, OSP –Okuma, Fanuc
Make improvements to set up times for a task and contouring of complex geometries
