What are the responsibilities and job description for the Systems Analyst I position at Harbor Brand?
Harbor is looking for a Systems Analyst I who will be responsible for writing, updating, testing, and troubleshooting computer programs for the organization, primarily regarding our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Monitor performance and security issues that may have a detrimental impact to the agency and communicate these issues effectively to leadership. Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within applications. Maintains knowledge of EHR and related systems.
Position is full-time, 40 hours per week. This position will be onsite during introductory period, and may have hybrid/remote work with supervisor approval after introductory period.
Education/Experience/Other Requirements:
- Associate degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, preferred or relevant experience or certifications.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey technical information.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of systems software and database configuration and support best-practice policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of databases and SQL code.
- Experience with development, writing stored procedures and functions, and reporting services in SQL server preferred.
- Must be able to work independently and as a part of a project team.
- Must have the ability to develop effective solutions to business issues/challenges.
Essential Job Competencies/Primary Duties:
- Performs a variety of programming tasks, such as designing, documenting, and coding program logic.
- Provides application support and enhancements to existing applications.
- Assists in developing user documentation that impacts the use of application systems.
- Organizes and formulates approaches to meet business needs utilizing existing and new technologies.
- Develops and maintains an excellent understanding of Harbor’s EHR software package.
- Helps test reports, customizations and new software builds along with other technology updates.
- Works collaboratively with IT team and other departments throughout the agency to ensure agency staff utilize technology resources available to result in optimal efficiency and effective outcomes.
- Keeps current with trends and developments related to essential job competencies, and demonstrates continued growth.
