What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Coordinator position at Harbor Interfaith Services?
Harbor Interfaith Services (HIS) is a non-profit organization based in San Pedro, with a mission to provide food, shelter, transitional housing, childcare, and support services to the homeless and working poor in the South Bay area of Los Angeles.
HIS is looking to add a full-time Regional Coordinator for the Coordinated Entry System (CES) for Adults to our team. The Regional Coordinator ensures successful implementation and coordination of client services and partnerships as well as compliance with contracts as outlined by funding agreements. Please note that this is not a remote opportunity. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing direct supervision to all members of the CES – Adults team including but not limited to: planning and scheduling ongoing workload assignments,, conducting weekly supervision meetings,, providing regular and appropriate feedback, including verbal and written improvement plans and completion of annual performance review.
- Build capacity and utilization of CES with key providers and service systems.
- Monitor subcontracted agencies compliance with subcontracted agreements to ensure operations are aligned with grant agreements. Develop improvement plans to support effective integration of CES practices.
- Submission of program reports, perform periodic internal audits of the program, and participate in monitoring visits as required.
- Cultivating necessary relationships with non-profit leadership, elected officials, public agencies, and community stakeholders.
- Attend agency staff meetings, trainings, case conferences as required
- Completion of other duties as assigned.

- You have a Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field with two years of experience in social services.
- You have three years management and supervision experience leading a team.
- You have knowledge of the homeless services and housing systems in the City and County of Los Angeles specific to Service Planning Area (SPA) 8-South Bay.
- You have the ability to train, coach, and mentor.
- You have strong public speaking and interpersonal skills.
- You are familiar with the Harm Reduction and Housing First models of service delivery.
- You have a valid California driver’s license, a clean driving record, and adequate auto insurance.
