Overview
The Commercial Quality Control Analyst perform reviews on loans to ensure accuracy of bank documentation, processes, and procedures adhere to established policies and follow regulatory controls and policy guidelines. The purpose of the position is to ensure accuracy for financial reporting, customer service and SOX compliance.
Responsibilities
1.) Performs quality control reviews and reporting on Commercial loan portfolio.2.) Reviews Daily Critical and Loan Maintenance Reports to ensure accuracy of maintenance and proper documentation3.) Assist with the continued development of and participation in Quality Control programs and the Operational Risk program.4.) Prepare, complete and supports audit requests internally and externally.5.) All other duties as assigned (e.g. coverage for other positions in department)
• Perform Quality Control review of all commercial new loans, modifications, renewals and deferrals to verify closing requirements have been met per credit approval and closing documents. Verifies all required documents are present and have been completed accurately. This requires the review of moderate to complex documentation to reflect the accuracy of the data and conformity to established procedures and policies. • Tracking and reporting of quality control issues to management.• Monitor daily maintenance report for accuracy of loan maintenance in compliance with SOX testing.• Assist in continued development of Quality Control Plan that detail the departmental framework as growing commercial organization’s needs.• Perform and document monthly Operational Risk testing to ensure servicing processes are completed timely, accurately and in accordance with the Bank’s lending policy and procedures and compliance with state and federal regulation. • Review processes to find efficiencies, create streamline processes that are documented and have corresponding checklist. Maintaining library of procedures for Commercial Servicing Department.• Responsible for meeting service level expectations according to quality control turnaround times. • Gathering Audit materials for internal and external as they pertain to commercial servicing.• Preparing of bank confirms as requested from participation bank’s auditors and customers CPAs through various channels.• Secondary Responsibility, support, train and assist Quality Control and Collateral Management team as volume dictates.
Qualifications

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 5-6 years’ experience in commercial servicing/documentation and completion of accounting reconcilements is required. Experience with a commercial servicing operations system and CORE systems. Proven proficiency in commercial servicing operations systems. Experience with Insight/COCC is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend instructions/direction in the Small Business Administration Guides and the HarborOne Commercial Loan Policy is essential. Ability to read and interpret complex loan & legal document. Ability to comprehend UCC and state filings results. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively prepare complex correspondence and memos to internal and external business partners and customers. The ability to effectively verbally present information in one-on-one and small group settings with customers, clients and other employees within the organization.
TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
An intermediate level of expertise with Microsoft Excel is required to include solid data management skills and chart preparation. An intermediate understanding of Microsoft Word. A minimum of (3) three years’ experience loan monetary transactions and data review on Insight (or comparable loan servicing platform) is required.
COMPLIANCE: Maintain an excellent understanding of applicable regulations and laws including but not limited to; Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy; and Fair Lending. Maintain an up to date understanding of bank policies and procedures as they relate to compliance.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Strong ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Strong ability to compute interest rates, ratios and percentages.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to cope and use judgement with complex problems involving several concrete variables and abstract variables.
