SUMMARY
Coordinates activities of clerical personnel by performing the following duties personally.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES MAY VARY BY LOCATION:
Analyzes and organizes office operations and procedures for customer service and purchasing personnel and other clerical services.
Purchases all inventory for stock and direct shipments, coordinates shipments with suppliers and truck lines to maintain acceptable levels of inventory.
Schedules trucks and monitors logs. Responsible for fleet registrations and equipment permits.
Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of material or supplies and computes inventory balance.
Maintains vendor and customer price books. Verifies and records price increase information. Compiles new products pricing and freight rates.
Supervises and coordinates the Company training programs for employees which will increase proficiency in safe practices and promote safety consciousness.
Responsible for sales and management reports. Maintains government files.\
Any other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises 1-4 employees; all clerical office personnel. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and four to five years related experience and/or training; two to four years in a supervisory capacity; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to use and knowledge of personal computer and related software.
