Job Posting for Manager, Institutional Business Development – Intermediary (Southern) at Harding Loevner LP
Harding Loevner is seeking qualified candidates to join our Intermediary Business Development team. The position will allow candidates to demonstrate their ability to develop and maintain client relationships for the firm’s Business Development team across a wide range of target firms, including registered investment advisors, family offices, institutional consultants, private banks, and trust companies. An experienced professional with proven abilities to service clients and drive new business relationships through strong communication will find this a rewarding opportunity.
This position has a regional focus across the Southern United States (AL, AR, FL, GA, LA, MS, OK, SC, TX). The position will involve significant travel (up to 50% of the time).
Core Responsibilities:
Represent Harding Loevner with professionalism, integrity, and transparency with an unwavering commitment to firm values
Skillfully communicate Harding Loevner’s investment philosophy & process and strategy performance
Maintain relationships with existing intermediary clients in the territory
Identify new business leads through proactive outreach
Maintain integrity of records within the firm’s CRM, including all client and prospect engagement
Build working relationships across Harding Loevner, including investment communications, content, client management, and research
Requirements:
A minimum of seven years of industry experience in prior roles such as business development, client service, manager research, investment consulting, or platform management
A strong understanding of global equities, investment manager selection and the asset allocation process
Demonstrated communication and presentation skills
Ability to work independently while supporting group initiatives
Preference for the CFA designation or an MBA
Series 7 and 63 (firm will support if not licensed)
