The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Vehicle Operations facility in York is our final assembly plant. Employees at York also perform a variety of manufacturing operations, including fabrication, welding, polishing and painting and produce a wide range of current and replacement parts for all models. Join our team as a Lead Supplier Quality.
Job Summary
This position will lead efforts to drive improvement in supplier quality through implementation of Harley-Davidson quality strategies and objectives. This position will lead and implement supplier quality work assignments. The position will provide leadership in developing strategies to enhance the overall quality of incoming product as well as meeting corporate supplier performance metrics.
Job Responsibilities
- Demonstrates specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in Supplier Quality.
- Impacts the achievement of quality within suppliers to drive results with corrective and preventive actions to achieve desired performance objectives.
- Resolves complex problems related to Supplier Quality. Works independently, requiring guidance on only the most complex situations.
- Leads others to solve complex problems related to Supplier Quality using analytical thought, exercising judgment and identifying innovative solutions. May lead functional teams or projects.
- Communicates difficult concepts involving Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and negotiates with others to effectively influence as appropriate.

Experience Requirements
Required
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret quality system management techniques and recommend best practices to improve metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a group and/or team and provide guidance to other employees.
- Proven track record of leading projects with cross-functional teams including internal and external stakeholders.
- Deep expertise in working with supplier capacity planning and review and ability to influence decisions.
- Travel required up to 50%
Preferred
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)
