The Team Leader Will Ensure All Associates Understand Production Requirements And Inform Production Supervisor And/or Plant Manager Of Any Barriers To Accomplish The Goals:
- Meet production and quality goals by effectively managing Mobility people, processes, and schedules. Have products available to ship on-time for Shipping Department.
- Direct people effectively by reviewing workloads at each cell. Keep work centers running efficiently and with high quality.
- Actively manage shop floor throughout the day. Create daily expectations / goals for each area or cell, and hold each team member accountable for meeting these daily goals.
- Ensure all associates understand production requirements and inform Production Manager of any barriers to accomplish the goals.
- Review, inspect, and sign / approve device history records for lifts.
- Manage NCR (non-conforming material) requests. Correct and improve processes.
- Review training, staffing, and capabilities with Production Manager and execute people plans.
- Train team members to specifications, work instructions, and quality inspection requirements, or assure team members get training by other qualif ied individuals, as necessary.
- Report inventory issues to Purchasing or Production Manager.
- Lead overtime as necessary.
- Other tasks or duties as assigned
- High school Diploma or Equivalent
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- Previous experience in a manufacturing lead role preferred
- Ability to use power tools
- Ability to read and correctly interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to use a computer
- Willingness to do hand-on work within a team environment
