Job Description:

L3Harris Corporation is seeking an Integrated Product Support Engineer to be responsible for specialized tasks in technical writing. These tasks may include generating, developing, planning, writing and editing operational, instructional, maintenance or procedures for paper, multimedia or web-based publication. The candidate must possess the ability to master the complex technology and associated equipment, and then effectively deliver that knowledge to customer teams in written form. Candidate also must possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to maintain focus on a complex task. TS/SCI clearance is required.

Essential Functions:

• Develops, organizes and delivers technical writing materials and/or interactive courseware for customer training.
• Researches and translates technical information into user guides, training materials, and/or web-based documents for non-technical and technical users.
• Regularly reviews documentation and updates procedures as required by the program to ensure relevant and current operations.
• Works closely with the program, engineering, and test teams to ensure user feedback and scenarios are communicated and represented in documentation development.
• Delivers technical writing material to accommodate scheduled instructor-led training and documentation at customer’s facility per SOW.
• Responsible for final reviews of proposed publications for style, design, layout, accuracy, and editorial aspects before government approval.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
• 2+ years’ experience in technical writing or technical training
• TS/SCI clearance is required

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience using Office Suite, Visio, Visual Studio, Adobe Dreamweaver, web design software, and FrameMaker
• An ability to work harmoniously in a team environment with government customers and other contractors
• Ability to produce clear and concise documentation of technical data, and system performance using either MS Word, Adobe Dreamweaver, and Excel.
• Excellent communication and management skills, as well as the ability to work harmoniously in a team environment with government customers and other contractors.
• Knowledge and experience with Troubleshooting/Maintenance of TELCOM systems.
• Experience in writing system level test procedures for LRUs and Rack assemblies.
• Independent, problem-solver, takes initiative, and results oriented.
• Understanding and familiarity with information security practices.
• Experience with quick reaction contracts is a plus.
