This position is currently eligible for a $300 retention bonus for new hires after 6 months of employment!
Scope of Position:
Eliminates all defects using gouging, welding, burning, and carbon arc washing and shape steel castings. This critical position allows us to meet our company's driving principle of Satisfying Our Customer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Excavates out inclusions using a carbon arc
- Welds using flux core wire to blend weld metal into the cast steel
- Shapes critical casting features using a carbon arc and hand grinder
- Marks casting with welder symbol for traceability.
- Repairs fully all defects marked by the Line Inspector using gouging, welding, burning, and carbon arc washing.
- Removes excess material on the steel castings through precision burning and carbon arc washing.
Ideal Casting Repair Welders have:
- Experience with welding and carbon arc equipment
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and process
