The Email Marketing Performance Analyst is responsible for building, modifying and reporting on Harry and David's customer behaviors and promotions impact within the Email Marketing Division. This person is responsible, for analyzing and reporting out on email marketing campaigns, helping to guide strategy. As a team member within the Email Marketing department, the Email Marketing Performance Analyst will be responsible for creating a set of standardized reports and associated conclusions and recommendations for optimizing our email marketing channel. Co-lead data driven projects -- with expectation of advancement into full management of projects/areas of expertise. In addition to working with customer and product data this position will build and manage project timelines to ensure projects are completed on time. Accountable for the timely execution of data analysis to meet the email deployment dates for each marketing campaign. This individual will support the strategic direction for the brand, as well as maximizing sales and profit for the email marketing division.

Perform analysis and provide feedback to management relating to the performance of email campaigns and the effectiveness of marketing tests
Present reporting, insights and recommendations to management
Assists in the strategy development of effective prospect and customer share of wallet (crosssell/ up-sell), win-back and retention marketing programs.
Analytical manipulation of campaign data
Design & execute ad hoc and scheduled queries * Strong project/time management and organizational skills
Documentation of updates to various reports such as Campaign History, eCOA, Deliverabity Score, and Self Consumption v Gift Indicator, Campaign & Product Cost information.

Prepare statistical analysis and present results utilizing Microsoft Office, Business Objects and other analysis & reporting applications.
Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures.
Aligns with leadership to drive analytics around prospect and campaign profitability.
Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
Ability to work with minimal supervision, be detail and result-oriented, maintain a high level of accuracy and integrity, and have excellent time management skills.

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Economics, Marketing, Statistics, or a Behavior Science field preferred
2-5 years’ experience in database marketing, direct marketing or marketing analytics.
Experience with quantitative analysis and/or statistics
Experience with business intelligence query tools such as Business Objects
Experience mining large data sets
Skilled in identifying issues related to statistical analysis, recommending options and implementing solutions
Ability to summarize detailed data into an actionable recommendation for audiences of varying backgrounds
Experience working with a multi-channel, multi-brand direct marketing company.
Understanding of eCommerce business model and internet technologies as well as promotional tactics
Exposure to customer level analytics such as lifetime value, customer migration and product affinity
Ability to adapt to changing directives and priorities.
Highly analytical mindset with the ability to look at vast amounts of data and synthesize that information into intelligence that can be acted upon by the business.
Familiarity with SAS programming, including SAS statistical procedures and SQL as well as relational database knowledge preferred
Must have advanced MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports and marketing analysis reports
Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays
