What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphic Designer position at Harry & David?
This position is responsible for the creative development, production, design integrity, and effectiveness of a variety of marketing and communications assets for digital and print vehicles, across all channels and divisions. Responsible for meeting project delivery dates according to assigned schedules, and preparing print-ready files and digital assets according to specifications.

- Partners with the art director, creative director, management, and team members to understand business needs and marketing requirements, and devise compelling design solutions to best meet those needs
- Produces fresh, high-quality design and typography that ensures the department's creative direction is consistent and in line with brand direction
- Utilizes up-to-date technology and best practices to develop and execute a variety of digital and print illustrations, layouts, and assets
- Designs materials for various campaigns and promotions which include catalogs, print materials, web assets, email, events, and signage
- Manage tasks and schedules to meet all production and go-live deadlines
- Tracks all revisions of print and digital documents and maintains status reports on assigned projects
- Visually proofs work and verifies content of assigned items prior to release
- Follows established workflow and standard operating procedures from beginning of job through archive of digital files
- Proactively seeks out ways to improve consistency and effectiveness of visual communications for the company. Identifies relevant media, technologies, and production processes that offer significant improvements in cost-effectiveness, production time, or impact. Stays informed about company products, current graphic design trends and tools, and industry developments that may lead to future visual communications opportunities
- Other job duties as assigned.
- A degree in graphic design or related required
- 2-4 years of graphic related experience desired
- Well-versed in Adobe Creative Suite
- Mac OS platform experience required
- Prior experience with prioritizing and multiple project schedules
- Prior experience in streamlining and maintaining design and production processes
- Ability to identify and interpret graphics design needs and develop creative and responsive design concepts
- Working knowledge of graphic and web design fundamentals and principles including typography, best practices in print and digital layout, and color theory
Salary : $38,800 - $49,100
