On-Site Position - Monday through Friday in Mankato, MN.
Job Purpose:
The Program Director sets the standards for individual program and program related policies and procedures at HMC and ensures that all services and supports are delivered in a person-centered manner. The program director is responsible for the oversight of the three ICF locations assigned and provides assistance, support, and encouragement to meet the needs of people served by HMC. The program director must meet the criteria of a Designated Manager and/or QIDP.
Qualifications:
Program Director must have bachelor’s degree in a human service-related field or licensure as a Registered Nurse or Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy. The Program Director must also have at least one (1) year of experience working direct support to those with developmental or intellectual disabilities. Experience in a residential setting in a leadership/supervisory position is preferred. This position requires a valid United States driver’s license and a good driving record. The PD must also pass the MN Department of Human Services Background Study.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with individuals, support teams, case managers, family members, and co-workers.
- Must be self-motivated and exhibit strong interpersonal communication skills, able to problem solve and respond effectively to emergency situations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures development and implementation of required program policies and procedures to operate programs effectively and efficiently.
- Assures compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local statutes, regulations, and contractual obligations. Monitors, communicates, and implements DHS and MDH Rules.
- Provides supervision and assistance to team members in a genuine and respectful manner while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Creates a supportive, safe, and team-oriented work environment.
- Supports direct care staff when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
- Must have the ability to regularly kneel, crouch; occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; occasionally lift or move 50 pounds
Salary and Schedule:
- Starting Salary: $72,000 - $75,000
- Typically, Monday – Friday, day hours with possible evening/weekend hours as needed based on the needs of staff and the individuals served.
