ABOUT THIS ROLE:
We are hiring for Business Development Specialists who will be the one of the first points of contact for prospective SaaS clients. Business Development Specialist is a key member of the Client Engagement Organization which is focused on growth and retention of SaaS Clients. Our Business Development Specialists support this growth by identifying new contacts, positioning personalized - compelling messaging and converting contacts into qualified prospective clients for Haven Technologies.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Maintain a broad understanding of the Individual Life & Annuity Insurance industry and Haven Technologies product and service offerings

Conduct research using available resources to find potential key contacts, decision makers and target company's priorities, distribution model, insurance products etc.

Form initial hypothesis on what might be of interest to the contact and execute personalized outreach and messaging using multiple methods (email, LinkedIn messaging and marketing communication software/tools)

Clearly articulate our value proposition with confidence and share relevant material on our use cases, solutions and offering to gain interest to learn more about Haven Technologies

Guiding the initial contact and relationship to an effective hand-off to the solutions consulting team for initial discovery call

Maintain the needed level of activity and outreach needed to support a healthy funnel, successfully converting contacts into qualified prospective clients for Haven Technologies

Continually evaluate, adjust and improve outreach methods and communications focusing activities that yield the highest return

Follow our standard CRM best practices with high attention to data quality and hygiene

Nurture contact database in CRM keeping appropriate contacts warm and execute phased follow ups

In collaboration with our event marketing team, pilot new outreach methods and marketing assets for both pre-event, during the event and post-event follow ups

Engage with event attendees representing Haven Technologies in our event booths, sessions and personal meetings
REQUIREMENTS:

2 years of relevant experience in business development and sales roles

Associate or Bachelor’s Degree
-
Passion for technology and desire to learn new technologies, concepts and products at a rapid pace

Desire for a highly collaborative work environment

Highly capable relationship builder in nurturing new relationships from initial outreach, building industry contacts, relationships sourced from events, colleagues etc.

Exceptional verbal and written organizational, presentation, and communication skills. With high confidence in sharing value propositions and key messaging.

Goal oriented with clear self motivation to organize and refine activities to achieve opportunity generation targets, including measuring and monitoring success.

Project Management aptitude in being able to develop a plan of action, identify steps or components, inputs, outputs and collaborators needed for success.

Strong sense of curiosity backed with desire for research to best understand the Individual Life & Annuity industry and prospective clients and their business.

Travel to industry events and conferences, average 10-12 yearly

Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred:

Industry domain experience in Insurance, Financial Services or SaaS is preferred but not required

Target annual salary for this role is $70,000 to $90,000 a bonus opportunity of up to 100% of annual base salary benefits (including medical, dental, vision, accident and life insurance, paid days off, 401(k), and education reimbursement).
