Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and oversee our company’s ongoing operations and procedures.
A key member of the executive team, the COO will report directly to the CEO and be responsible for increasing the organization's productivity, efficiency, and profitability, ensuring that all operational aspects align with HAVERHILL’s strategic goals and growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
- Oversee daily operations of the company, including manufacturing, product development, digital marketing, and website development.
- Ensure all operational processes are efficient, scalable, documented, and aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.
Strategic Planning and Execution
- Develop and implement operational strategies that drive growth and profitability.
- Translate the company’s strategic vision into actionable plans and ensure these plans are executed effectively.
Team Management:
- Lead and mentor department heads, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to ensure a unified approach to achieving company goals.
- Serve as interim manager for teams during periods of department head vacancy or when establishing new departments
Performance Monitoring:
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for all operational functions.
- Analyze and report on operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency.
Customer Focus:
- Ensure that the company’s operations meet the highest standards of customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with the customer service team to address any operational issues affecting customer experience.
Risk Management:
- Assess and manage operational risks, ensuring business continuity and compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Budgeting and Financial Oversight:
- Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
- Monitor financial performance and ensure that operational activities are cost-effective.

Location:
- Ability to work on-site daily at our HQ in Warren, RI
Education:
- MBA or advanced degree is strongly preferred but can be substituted with relevant real-world experience and non-traditional learning pathways and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in operational leadership roles, preferably within the e-commerce direct-to-consumer sector - especially if experience was gained in the luxury retail goods market.
- Proven track record of managing complex operations and driving operational excellence.
