JOB SUMMARY

• Performs a variety of maintenance and repairs duties.
• Uses craft skills to assure adequate and suitable operation of equipment, machinery, or tools of construction.
•  Follows established policies, practices, procedures, or specific instructions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• While performing facilities maintenance functions, actively promotes and “Walks the Talk” of Minit Stop’s Core Values of Safety, Balance, Fun, Honesty, Loyalty, Respect, & Service Excellence.
• Performs a variety of maintenance, repairs, installations, fabrications, and construction duties on buildings/stores, store facilities, and store/food service equipment
• Prepares and maintains necessary reports, data, and information pertaining to work performed, maintenance repair, or preventive maintenance schedules.
• Works with and effectively utilizes other Technicians and Managers on various job assignments.
• Follows safety guideline/standards set by the department including proper use of safety equipment, e.g., head, shoe, ear, body cover, gloves, shield respirator, eye protection, and proper tools.
• Must be able to lift and move heavy loads up to 40 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times, climb ladders, and other associated physical demands.
• On a regular, sustained basis, cooperates with other staff members both within and outside departments in accomplishment of job duties as well as assisting others in accomplishing theirs.  Serves as team player and role model for other employees in the Minit Stop Organization, always exhibiting traits of courtesy, caring, helpfulness, and respect.  Conducts oneself in a service-oriented manner that is attentive, pleasant, cooperative, sensitive, respectful, and kind when dealing with all employees, customers, and vendors.
• Ability to be on-call during the month as needed.
• Reports to work as scheduled.
• Complies with all Company Rules of Conduct, policies, and procedures. 
• Participates in Company related training sessions. 
• Compliance with all Federal, State, Local, and Company safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Regular attendance.  Qualified absences related to the State and Federal Family medical leave Act must be reported to Human Resources.
• Performs other duties and accepts responsibility as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalency desired.  
• Minimum of at least one (1) year facilities maintenance experience.
• Restaurant equipment maintenance experience desirable
• Combination of education and experience.     

Other Qualifications:

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must have own tools. Mileage reimbursement provided for business use of personal vehicle.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and occasional late evening or any on-call during the month as needed.
• Knowledge of the following:  Mechanical / Building Machinery, painting, general equipment cleaning and repair, and working knowledge of tools desirable.

Computer Skills:  

•  Ability operate a computer and smart phone.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Must possess a valid Type 3, Driver’s License.
