Systems Operator - Sports Tracking Technology

WHAT THE JOB IS ALL ABOUT »
We are recruiting to grow our team of Systems Operators, who are responsible for delivering our tracking technology across a range of US Sports. This opportunity is based out of our regional headquarters in Atlanta and could involve some travel throughout the US. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of sports technology in top-flight sports leagues as part of a passionate and dynamic team. 

Due to the nature of live sports operations, In-season you will need to be prepared to work nights and weekends. Pre-season, you may also be required to travel within the US on maintenance and/or new system installation visits.

We will equip you with the technical training, support and full exposure to our systems to perform your day-to-day tasks but also encourage development and progression to help make an impact on what we do.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES »

  • During the pre-season, building and preparing our hardware and equipment for on-site installations.
  • Conducting pre-game checks of the systems in accordance with standard procedures and solving problems in a timely manner when issues arise.
  • Operating the technologies during the games remotely from the Atlanta Office.
  • Liaising with client representatives and team personnel both on-site and remotely.
  • Providing real-time, quality data to clients.
  • Taking full responsibility for our data integrity.
  • Assisting research and development into new projects and new systems.

Your Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • A strong technical grounding
    • Ideally with experience using the Windows ecosystem and knowledge of networking principles
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
    • Ability to liaise with clients and customers in a professional and approachable manner
  • Logical problem-solving ability
  • Proactive and able to take initiative
    • Particularly in escalating situations to management
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to remain focused in a high-pressure, live event environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • A keen interest in Sport
    • Ideally with a background in Sports analysis
  • Flexible and adaptable to a schedule that is dictated by the game schedule and can change at short notice 
  • Acceptance that the nature of our business means that work will be carried out over weekends and public/federal holidays
  • Ideally with/studying towards a Degree with a technical focus, such as a science, technology, mathematics or engineering course, or relevant equivalent experience
