Job Description

We, at Hawke&Co, are a men's apparel wholesaler that is looking for an experienced, well motivated and intelligent Controller to join our team full time. You must have five to seven years of bookkeeping experience in the wholesale industry to have your application considered. Experience working with apparel is preferred, but not necessary.

Job requirements

• Accounts receivable - Submit invoices through the appropriate channels and monitor aging to ensure timely payment
• Accounts payable - Enter vendor invoices and prepare check runs as needed
• Payroll via Paychex
• Must have knowledge of factoring
• Monthly Projections
• Sales Tax
• Assist with bank audit
• Opening Letter of Credit for the Vendors
• Bank reconciliation
• Year-end financials and work closely with the CPA office.
• Closely work with the Bank for submission of borrowing base
• Work closely with all teams for accuracy and validation of invoices and terms.
• Assist with any special projects .
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to establish and maintain positive internal and external working relationships
• Proficiency with MS-Office specifically MS Excel, including pivot tables and vlookup.
