We are currently looking for anArchitecture Market Manager to join our team in Chicago, IL.
As an Architecture Market Manager, you will:
Grow sales volume, market share and profitability of Haworth Architectural Products through regional and account plans in collaboration with regional and specific account teams, selling Architectural Interiors value proposition to essential stakeholders like General Contractors as well as supporting channel partner sales.
- Consistently modeling Haworth vision and values in client, dealer and influencer engagements through positive and responsive activities to acquire sales and grow market share.
- Prepares annual plan for developing walls business that is made up of target accounts from regional/area plans as well as selected A&D firms, General Contractors and dealers as well as channel partners. Plan to include specific tactics to increase market share. Plan is reviewed with sales leadership as well as business leadership to ensure alignment. Participates in strategy development as part of an account to increase utilization of AI Products.
- Utilizing a variety of activities and tools, develop/expand networks with key stakeholders to increase sales opportunities for Architectural Interiors. Sources for non-Account specific prospects would include, but not be limited to BOMA, CoreNet, CCA, NAIOP and IFMA.
- Actively work to build relationships with key prospects or those representing key opportunities by being the subject matter expertise one modular construction as well as Haworth Architectural Products and Solutions.
- Maximizes time with clients and other stakeholders through listening and dialoging on utilizing Haworth's Organic Workplace to understand key business drivers and challenges client is trying to resolve. Utilizes AI specific in addition to Haworth sales tools, including square foot analysis, budget tools, and other tools, etc. to best understand known and latent client issues to develop and propose appropriate solutions.
- Develops strategies and creative solutions when preparing to address client needs, clearly articulating value of Modular Construction and Haworth's specific solutions. Shares specialized knowledge on pre-order technical information, pre-order office design assistance, post-order service to clients and post-order installations to address needs to identified groups.
- Closes small to large wall opportunities. Able to successfully respond to objections. Negotiates to reach acceptable, long-term business relationships and profitable agreements for Haworth.
- Continuously pushes self to raise personal standards of performance to exceed assigned goals and objectives, including quota attainment and market share growth. Constantly evaluates and reduces performance gaps.; Develops and adjusts action plan to improve performance and build skills/competency.
- Bachelor's degree in business, architecture, interior design, industrial design, marketing, communication, or equivalent
- Three years successful contract/capital goods selling experience in generating and closing new business, solutions selling, and account management, with demonstrated track record of success with quota retirement responsibilities.
- Experience with supporting design process through A&D, general contractors, and real estate.
- Experience developing and implementing sales strategies.
- Proven history of sales success identifying and developing new business opportunities.
- Experience working with dealerships and general contractors.
- Modular walls experience strongly preferred.
- Previous affiliation with BOMA, IFMA, CoreNet, and/or NAIOP
- Comprehensive understanding of the needs of channel partners, general contractors, A&D, real estate, project management and others within the construction industry.
- Thorough knowledge of construction process. Understanding of Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) format of specifications and local building codes.
- Advanced skills in selling construction or architectural products; ability to best position offerings to support client needs. Includes prospect qualification, lead generation, new business development, account penetration, strategic, conceptual, issues-based, and consultative selling; negotiation; and contracts (closing).
- Capable of managing area, regional, and, occasionally, global client relationships.
- Well developed collaboration skills to enable partnering with Haworth and dealer sellers on strategy for sales development.
- Ability to develop new business by being self-motivated, self-directed and willing to accept responsibility for results.
