Howser Tavern will be opening in downtown Frankfort this summer! Named for the historic Howser Cafe and located in the same building on St. Clair Street, Howser is a high end bourbon bar with a light food menu of charcuterie and sandwiches. Bar offerings will include many bourbons, wine, beer and craft cocktails. More information available soon.
Employment Type: Full Time or Part Time
Compensation/Salary: $2.13/hr plus tips
Howser Tavern is searching for experienced candidates for the position of Bartender. Must be 21 years of age.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Provides excellent customer service to all guests by following the Steps of Service.
- Proficient in multitasking, general math skills and communication skills.
- Fulfills running side work, opening and closing checklists.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of our food and beverages. Makes recommendations and is flexible with guest requests.
- Adheres to company/state standards for serving alcoholic beverages. Checks IDs and mixes drinks according to recipes/specs to ensure guests are not over-served.
- Assists in tasks to ensure a clean, sanitized, and safe work environment.
- Maintains a positive attitude during stressful situations.
- Communicate and work with team members/management to deliver a great guest experience.
- Promotes teamwork in the workplace.
- Knowledge of classic cocktails. Responsible for adhering to recipes to manage inventory.
