What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator position at Hays?
Currently, I am working with a client who is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our their team!
My Client has been in the industry for over 50 years.
Specializing in areas of foundation, bridges, rail, roadways, wastewater
They are a Premier General Contractor with very strong capabilities with Quality and Performance being their main priority!
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate proposals and estimates for construction projects
- Collaborate with bid team to ensure a smooth bidding process
- Cultivate relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
- Analyze project documents and data to bid projects
- Provide value analysis and engineering suggestions
Requirements:
- 5 years of progressive experience in heavy construction, including: highways, water plants, wastewater plants, and industrial facilities
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering related field or equivalent experience
- Proficiency with BlueBeam, Microsoft Office, and HeavyBid
- Working knowledge of HCSS and AGTEK preferred
- Federal contracting experience a plus
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledge of DBE compliance for bids a plus
- Ability to meet fast-paced, changing schedules and priorities for bids
