Overview
HBR Consulting LLC (HBR) is seeking retrieval specialists to join our Research Information Solutions team. In this role, you will provide high quality retrieval services to our clients.
Most of our placements are remote/virtual on a national basis, but you may be offered onsite placement at a client office depending on your physical location.
Responsibilities
- Support a specific client engagement for project duration
- Monitor, prioritize and respond to requests while coordinating efforts with team members and client's law library department
- Procure known-item document retrieval of journal articles, book chapters/sections, and other legal and non-legal documents
- Arrange Interlibrary loans and maintain log of loaned items
- Perform simple data entry according to standardized practices, including record edits, updates, and corrections in Excel spreadsheets, library catalog, and other databases
- Assist with creation and maintenance of passwords for electronic resources and forgotten password requests
- Provide excellent customer service
Qualifications
- College degree required
- At least 1 year of previous library experience, required, preferably in a law firm library
- Familiarity with legal research resources, including, but not limited to, Westlaw Find & Print, Lexis Get & Print, HeinOnline, Westcheck, Lexis BriefCheck, as well as, general library internet resources, such as Google Scholar, WorldCat, etc.
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Highly effective organizational and problem-solving skills
- Computer proficiency in Word and Excel
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced customer-service oriented environment
- Dependability, adaptability and a cooperative attitude
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
