JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- ARRT Registry required
- Minimum 1 year of clinical Radiologic Tech experience
- Florida State License
JOB OVERVIEW:
Performs the full range of General Radiology procedures including but not limited to: Portables, fluoroscopy, operating room, trauma, contrast studies, and DEXA bone densitometry in a digital/PACS environment. Responsible for operating a variety of x-ray equipment in both a hospital/trauma and outpatient setting. Responsible for confirming order/correct patient/correct exam and entering exam in Meditech. Must obtain a quality image including both technical and positional factors. Responsible for maintaining exposures to ionizing radiation as low as reasonably achievable. Responsible for confirming patient demographics and lead markers prior to processing/QA and releasing images and assuring all “Stat” procedures or special exam instructions are completed appropriately. Adapts to schedule changes including call shifts and call back for procedures/holidays. Follows policies and procedures of HCA Florida West Hospital. Participates in the Quality Improvement process and adheres to HCA FL West Hospital’s standards of behavior.
