Job Summary and Qualifications

Generate and analyze financial and patient accounting information for various levels including the executive management team of the hospital. Perform Accounting functions such as journal entries, review, analysis and reporting. Assist with budgeting, cost report preparation, audits and any other special projects assigned throughout the year.

MAJOR TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Run Daily, Weekly and Monthly standard reports for the Executives or Finance Team.
• Run Ad Hoc reports as requested by Executives, Directors or Finance
• Complete Month End Board Reports for CFO
• Extract requested financial reports at month end for Accounting and Auditors upon request.
• Work the daily Batch report for any corrections
• Assist with Cost Report Data; Budget Data or any special projects providing and analyzing data.
• Review patient accounts (i-plan accuracy; denials; exhausted benefits and payment trends).
• Review large balance patient accounts preliminary close.
• SMA Preparations of Exhibits
• Analysis of payors against budget and prior year.
• Review and follow up of Worker’s Comp Outlier Accounts
• Medicaid NICU Outlier and GME filings
• Service line analysis for budget, projection and month end
• Review of Stats against plus as needed to ensure correct charge capture
• Logging/ Concuity review of auto posted contractuals
• Monthly and yearly analysis as needed
• Other as requested by CFO, VP of Finance or Controller
