Job Summary and Qualifications
Coordinates the day-to-day operations of the sleep disorders center. Under the direct supervision of the medical director, performs preliminary evaluation of the patients seen in the sleep disorders center and prepares preliminary reports for polysomnographic recordings for review by the medical director.
Equipment listing:
1. Polysomnogram – either analog or digital polysomnograms.
2. Video monitors equipment
3. All diagnostic and therapeutic devices for patients with sleep disorders.
4. Basic computer skill and ability to use spreadsheet and word processing programs.
What qualifications you will need:
- HS diploma or equivalent
- BLS through AHA or ARC
- Basic arrhythmia recognition course recommended.
- 1-2 years experience preferred.
- Patient assessment. General supervisory skills. Budgeting and financial evaluation. Skills in medical and surgical therapies for respiratory, cardiac, neurology, and urology. Knowledge of patient care for individuals with sleep, respiratory, and neurological disorders. Knowledge of oxygen delivery mechanisms. Ability to use CPAP and Bi-Level therapies. Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- High School Graduate / GED
