Job Summary and Qualifications
Following physicians orders, the Pharmacist compounds and dispenses medications and other pharmaceuticals. The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for providing pharmaceutical care activities to ensure safe and effective drug therapy through the provision of clinical services. The Clinical Pharmacist coordinates and oversees the delivery of pharmaceutical services and provides monitoring and intervention in therapeutics to provide cost effective care with optimum outcomes. The Clinical Pharmacist fulfills departmental responsibilities within the long range plan, mission, vision and values of the hospital.
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy
- Current Kentucky Pharmacist License
- One Year of hospital experience preferred
- Customer service abilities including effective communication and listening skills.
- Computer skills
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 10 lbs.
This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
