Job Summary and Qualifications

The Laboratory Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all of the functions within the laboratory.

What You Will Do In This Role 

• Testing, staffing, training, scheduling, maintaining supplies, and relating with department administration, other labs, and physicians.
• Ensures that services are of the best quality, are cost contained, and are carried out in an expeditious manner.
• Serves patients by providing medical laboratory diagnostic and therapeutic information, products, and services.
• Responsible for recognizing results or problems that require referral to the laboratory director or pathologist.

What Qualifications You Will Need 

• BS degree in medical technology or affiliated science required; Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of six years experience in the clinical laboratory, at least 4 of which were in a supervisory position.
• Experience with a laboratory information system is recommended
• Current MT (ASCP) or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of all regulatory agencies and requirements necessary

Medical City Fort Worth serves as a tertiary referral center for Tarrant County and many counties within a 90 mile radius. We offer comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services.
