Job Summary and Qualifications

The Cardiopulmonary Coordinator is a participating member of a multidisciplinary team who demonstrates supervisor skills and knowledge in the management of patients ranging from newborn to geriatric. This position requires you to have a variety of knowledge in cardiopulmonary operations, including business records, assigning duties, staff evaluations, competencies, and continuing education. Strict interdepartmental development and interpersonal skills are required to effectively provide the leadership and support to maintain working relationships within the various departments.

· You will serve as role model regarding recognition of hospital policy and procedures and maintenance of hospital standards as they relate to human relation skills.

· You will evaluate and monitor services to assure quality care is being given to patients.

· You will serve as a resource for staff, physicians and other hospital staff for respiratory care questions and issues.

Job Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved respiratory care educational and training program of the equivalent thereof/and is licensed by DPR and NBRC.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Supervisory or charge experience strongly preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of intensive care and blood gas analysis experience, practices of Pulmonary/Respiratory Services and the basic sciences related to each.
• Neonatal and Pediatric experience preferred.
• State of Florida license as a RRT (registry).
• National Board for Respiratory Care credential preferred.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• American Heart Association ACLS, PALS and NRP required or obtain within 60 days of hire.

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).

We are an Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Primary Stroke Center. HCA Florida Palms West Hospital has emergency services, a dedicated New Life Center and a Level II NICU. We have a full-service Children’s Hospital. Services include outpatient rehabilitation, an aquatics center, orthopedic spine center, robotics, and interventional radiology.
