Job Summary and Qualifications

• Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the critically ill pediatric patient.

• Organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the plan of care. This plan will be individualized, family centered, and holistic.

• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.

• Participate in PICU initiatives and process improvement.

• Maintain high-quality age specific care for the neonatal, pediatric, adolescent and young adult population.

• Support the mission, vision and values of the organization


What qualifications you will need:

  • RN license in the State of Texas or compact license
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider
  • PALS required within 6 months of hire
  • CCRN preferred
  • 5 years of Pediatric ICU experience in a acute care setting

  • Meditech experience required
  • Preference for previous Medical City Healthcare PICU employees
  • ADN required, BSN within 24 months of hire 

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
