The largest medical facility in the region, Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) is a modern, Joint Commission-accredited, 330-bed full-service hospital located in Idaho Falls. Idaho Falls offers a rich variety of outdoor activities with Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Jackson, WY and Sun Valley all within a short drive from our hospital.
The Behavioral Health Center is a 74-bed psychiatric hospital in Idaho Falls providing mental-health services. Part of nearby Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, we are located on a separate campus to provide for the patient’s greatest level of privacy, comfort, and individual care. Affiliation with EIRMC gives us access to the most current and comprehensive medical services available in the region.
Social Worker II
Position Type: PRN
PRN Defined: Work minimum of one shift per two week pay period to assist with staffing for coverage of absences for staff planned/unplanned and/or increase in census. The more you are available the more you can work if shifts are available.

Responsibilities:
*The Social Worker –
Level II can perform all of the functions of a SW Level I in that they work with patients who
have complex psychosocial needs, require assistance with eligibility
determination for social programs and funding sources and qualify for community
assistance from a variety of special funds and agencies.
*In addition, offer crisis intervention to
patients and families with psychosocial needs and coordinates and facilitates
the development of a discharge plan of care for high-risk patient populations.
*Receive referrals for
individuals from at-risk populations from interdisciplinary team members
(including physicians, Case Managers, staff nurses and other members of the
care team).
*Perform intake assessment
for patients with serious mental illness and substance use disorders.
*When necessary, they can appropriately
diagnose individuals to determine the appropriate level of care needed.
*Assess for suicidal and
homicidal ideations, psychosis, and other mental disorders and make appropriate
referrals as needed.
*Meet with
patients in individual counseling sessions as well as conduct psychotherapy
process groups.
*Perform utilization review functions, including conducting InterQual
reviews and obtaining insurance authorization.
