Job Summary and Qualifications

The Surgical Technologist functions in the scrub position and provides assistance to the surgeon during the surgical procedure on all patient age groups in accordance with the mission, goals and objectives of the facility. Duties include: room set-up, draping, passing of instruments, retracting. This position cannot perform the functions of a First Assistant, ie dissection or suturing.

What qualifications you will need:

• Current Certification of Surgical Technologist (CST) Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Graduate from a Surgical Technologist Program.
• Minimum one year scrub experience,.
• Cardiothoracic surgery preferred.
• Skilled in specific surgical procedures: CABG,AVR, MVR CoxMaize, Off-Pump, Cardiovascular ·
