Job Summary
The Senior Pricing and Contracts Analyst provides strong contract expertise and pricing support to the Brand Specialty Pricing team. This position works closely with the Market Access, Finance, Legal, and Compliance teams. The Senior Pricing and Contracts Analyst will oversee the stewardship of information and contract-related process flow between the Market Access team, contracted customers, and distribution partners. Reporting into the Director of Pricing & Contracts, the Senior Pricing and Contracts Analyst will help manage the lifecycle of contracts from initial strategy planning and drafting, through negotiation, signatures, updates, renewals, and termination.
Essential Functions
Manage the lifecycle of contracts from initial strategy planning and drafting, through negotiation, signatures, updates, renewals, and termination
Support preparation of competitive bids and RFP responses
Work with the business lead, clients, legal, compliance, and internal teams on contract term updates
Interpret contractual language of rebate structure
Draft contracts based on terms discussed with clients and feedback from legal team
Ensure all contracts are reviewed, red-lines, and revised for compliance
Collaborate with Finance team to ensure successful implementation and maintenance of contracts, including reconciliation of contract performance
Analyze pricing and contract-related information, prepare analyses and provide support for adhering to pricing policies, rebate programs, and contractual terms
Review contract terms and continuously monitor ongoing contract changes and accuracy of programs and terms
Ensure the processing of all contractual obligations in accordance with agreed upon terms and conditions
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of departmental workflow
Review of contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policy, government specifications and requirements, and conformance to master agreements
Prepare and maintain appropriate departmental records and contract database, including all necessary approvals
Create and manage documentation of all pricing changes, notifications, and membership changes
Maintain contract effective/expiration status reports
Support internal and external customers through contract lifecycle, including development of internal reporting
Maintain logs to track contracts, as well as rebate, chargebacks, and membership issues for accurate reporting to management
Support preparation of monthly contract performance reports
Responsible for the review, validation and notification of contract membership updates to key stakeholders
Work with internal/external customers to respond to and resolve inquiries related to contract compliance (i.e., pricing, membership, etc.)

Education
Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) in business-related function - Required
Work Experience
5 years or more in Contract Management or Contract Administration, ideally within brand pharmaceuticals, biotech, or life sciences; Pricing, Contracting, Rebates or Chargebacks experience - Required
Skills and Abilities
Strong technical skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Adobe Sign and DocuSign, including proficiency with pivot tables, charts, graphs, VLOOKUPs, etc. - Advanced
Strong organizational ability and exceptional project management skills with the ability to work under tight timelines and deadlines in an environment of competing priorities - Advanced
Ability to research and respond to complex customer issues with reasoned judgment - Intermediate
Excellent and professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills - Advanced

Specialized Knowledge
Required: Strong understanding of contract terms and contracting for branded pharmaceuticals
Preferred: Previous experience in pharmaceutical pricing and contracts role
Preferred: Project and process management experience
Preferred: Exposure to and/or knowledge of 340B eligibility, rebate payments, key pharmaceutical contract pricing terms and conditions
