HDR is hiring a Roadway Engineer to work in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This position might be located at either our HDR office or at a client site if needed.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design roadway projects
- Coordinate, prepare, and manage all phases of plans submittals
- Produce design plans and construction plans.
- Review design plans and construction plans and provide review comments, utilizing the FDOT ERC tool.
- Review bid tabulations, pay items, and cost estimates.
- Adhere to project schedule deadlines.
- Provide day-to-day technical support.
- Attend meetings and other general project tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- PE License
- Minimum of 5 years of roadway/highway design experience
- Experience using OpenRoads Designer (ORD) road design software
- MS Office experience
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with design software such as Microstation, GEOPAK or other transportation design software packages is preferred
- Drainage experience is a plus
- Experience working on FDOT projects is a plus
- Experience with FDOT plans production and 3D project delivery
- Local candidate are preferred
