Primary Responsibilities
In the role of ROW Specialist, we'll count on you to:
* Coordinate right-of-way and utility issues for construction projects
* Be proficient with FHWA and Uniform Relocation Act proceedings for transportation projects involving federal funding, as well as the client's policies and procedures, specifically TxDOT
* Take responsibility of oversight and contract administration to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations, contract agreements, and payment of invoices
* Work with others to ensure that all right-of-way acquisition and utility adjustment schedules are met, while complying with all federal, state and local laws and regulations
* Verify parcel on right-of-way plans or plats; verify property owners and the extent of interests; maintain complete and detailed records/files with owner contacts, maps, drawings, exhibits and detailed progress reports
* Prioritize work and perform activities at a high level
* Work independently or closely with a team, confidently with clients, property owners and occupants, and be flexible for travel, as required
* Perform other duties as needed
Required Qualifications
* 5 years of experience with right of way, utility, relocation, property management and FHWA
* Must be familiar with Uniform Relocation Act proceedings, the Eminent Domain Process and Right of Way Acquisitions
* Position requires extensive client relations, strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to deal with property owners, on a fast-track project
* Must have the ability to understand real estate documents such as title, appraisal, environmental and survey
* Proficient with MS Office
* This position typically requires successfully passing drug-screening procedures prior to being hired thereafter subject to random and cause drug and alcohol testing
* HDR is a drug and alcohol free environment

Preferred Qualifications
* Ability to obtain a Texas Real Estate License in six months.
