PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Human Resources Generalist performs human resources related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all the following functional areas: payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance.
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Responsible for time card administration
- Assist in maintenance of Paycor System along with Newton Applicant Tracking System
- Monitor attendance activity
- Answers routine inquiries from inside and outside the company on employment verifications
- Maintains employee personnel & benefit files
- Conducts recruitment effort for exempt and nonexempt personnel as needed
- Conducts new employee orientations
- Communicate benefit plan changes, reminders, and other personnel related matters to appropriate staff
- Work closely with Director of Safety and Vice President of Human Resources to document incidents and injury for OSHA log and posting requirements
- Assist with Open Enrollment and counsel employees on benefit plan provisions
- Assist in investigations/employee relations issues
- Assist with benefits administration as needed
- Performs other duties as required
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to maintain highly confidential nature
- Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of human resources
- Must have above average oral & written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Through Computer knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of HR experience minimum
