Job Summary This position is responsible for supporting sales representatives or account management personnel in the prospecting, acquiring, or renewing business. Duties vary based on market and type of role supporting and may include any of the following: building relationships with customer representatives/brokers, researching and coordinating the resolution of customer issues, preparing and analyzing reports, participating/leading enrollment meetings, gathering information for RFPs, preparing or implementing new accounts or renewals, and travel to customer sites. Responsibilities Support Sales or Account Management personnel to assist in prospecting, acquiring or renewing business. May conduct research for prospective business. Research inquiries received from customers, brokers, or company representatives. Relay information to Sales or Account Management personnel or responds directly to customer or company representative. May coordinate meetings. Gather data, create and/or maintain databases. Participate in enrollments. Prepare materials for enrollment sessions. Prepare documentation for prospective or existing customers. Review forms received for completeness. Develop relationships with customer representatives. May respond to questions from prospect regarding benefit information and available benefit options. May include some travel. Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with co-workers, management, customers, etc. Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies and other applicable corporate and departmental policies. Maintain complete confidentiality of company business. Maintain communication with management regarding development within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of experience in health insurance/health care field in a service/sales/marketing position involving initiative and decision-making OR 1 year experience in health care management in a marketing service representative role OR 3 years’ experience in sales/marketing or health care management/claims/provider service experience involving processing or coordination of services for health care clients. State Insurance License(s) or obtain State Insurance License(s) within required time frame per state regulations. Organizational and decision-making skills; written and verbal communications skills including telephone skills. Ability to interact professionally with both internal and external contacts. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access. PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS: Associate or Bachelor’s degree Are you being referred to one of our roles?
