Our mission is to be the catalyst for massive, measurable, data-informed healthcare improvement through: Data: integrate data in a flexible, open & scalable platform to power healthcare’s digital transformation Analytics: deliver analytic applications & services that generate insight on how to measurably improve Expertise: provide clinical, financial & operational experts who enable & accelerate improvement Engagement: attract, develop and retain world-class team members by being a best place to work Role: Accounting Manager Team: Accounting Location: US Remote Travel: none anticipated What you'll own in this role: Oversee accounts payable, including review of the accounting treatment/classification of accounts payable and procurement card transactions as well as identifying and implementing improvements to the accounts payable and procurement processes Manage fixed asset and intangible asset balances, including reviewing transactions for capitalization, identifying and recording disposals, recording depreciation/amortization, and maintaining asset subledger Create and maintain cost allocations. Work with the accounting team and other departments to identify allocable costs, determine appropriate allocation method, and create allocations in accounting software Complete or review monthly close procedures prepared by direct reports for fixed and intangible assets, prepaid expenses, leases, debt, cost allocations, and royalty and revenue share agreements Assist with providing data for finance to use in budgeting and forecasting Assist with development of processes and controls to increase efficiency and mitigate risks Prepare schedules and footnotes for SEC reporting for financial statement areas of responsibility Assist with the preparation of external audit documentation and other ad hoc projects What you'll bring to this role: Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables and lookups), and proficiency with other MS Office applications Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and ability to independently research technical accounting matters ERP system experience, Workday preferred Strong, effective communication in a professional work environment, both verbal and written (including ability to communicate accounting concepts to non-accounting team members) Ability to work independently and take initiative on tasks, while working within a team environment Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize and delegate competing tasks, and take initiative to improve team efficiency Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities with a positive attitude to get the work completed and meet deadlines Preferred Education and Relevant Experience· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred 3 - 5 years of accounting experience in public accounting or within operational accounting functions including month-end close process The above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed in this job function.
