TCA/Medical Assistant Supervisor Position Summary
As a member of the care team, plans, coordinates and supervises overall operations of the office under supervision of Practice Manager. Orients and trains support staff on systems to assure compliance with regulations, policies and procedures of the practice. Interviews and selects new staff as necessary. Conducts daily huddles with staff. Supervises team members to include strategies to engage and retain staff, reward and recognize good performance, and coach and provide correction to staff when required. In medical assistant capacity, provides initial preparation of patients prior to the provider’s encounter; assists providers in patient care activities, as directed; updates/documents records. Relieves and assists clinical and administrative staff as needed; orders and restocks exam rooms and office supplies as needed.

TCA/Medical Assistant Supervisor Position Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree strongly preferred
- At least three years of experience working in a healthcare environment required; experience working in a bariatric practice strongly preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- At least one year of Medical Assistant experience strongly preferred
- Medical certification from approved medical assistant program strongly preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and various insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance required.
- Must be proficient working with an EMR, Epic preferred.
- Monday through Friday, Day Shift
