Job Summary The Electrical Engineering Co-op will complete electrical engineering-related tasks in support of the
Engineering department in the development and production of magnetic sensors and power magnetic products. The
position will allow for exposure to the technology, test processes, and manufacturing environment at Standex-Meder
Electronics and will aid in the professional development of the co-op. Typical Tasks and Projects Assist with
prototyping activities and design validation/verification testing Aid in new sensor technology research activities
Complete design of experiments (DOE) and failure analysis Assist with generation of specifications for finished
component or vendor items Complete BOM, costing, or technical marketing related projects Maintain an Engineering
database relevant to activities and projects Professional Development Report to a specific engineer with tasks assigned
over a broad range of SME products Learn the design, business purpose, and technological basis for the core products
Work towards advanced tasks and projects as the Co-op develops capability Job Qualifications Coursework towards a
BS in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Tech (EE or EET) Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
and projects in a fast-paced environment Capable of completing clear test and engineering reports and presentations
Solid communication skills for interface with internal team members and offsite manufacturing facilities
