The Texas Works Advisor I (TWA I)/ Medical Eligibility Specialist I (MES I)/ Hospital Based Worker I (HBW I) position is included in a career track series. After a probationary period of one year from hire date TWA/MES/HBW I’s are automatically upgraded to a TWA/MES/HBW II when tenure and performance requirements are met. The TWA/MES/HBW II salary is $39,529.44.
Based on training requirements, current or previous program eligibility experience, former Access & Eligibility Services (AES) employees may be considered for rehire at the TWA/MES/HBW II / Salary Group B13. Recent experience includes any experience within one year prior to the application closing date.

Applicants must meet the following education and experience requirements:
Experience:
One (1) year of customer service experience with public contact which can include retail, call center, clerical, hospitality, banking, receptionist or similar customer service experience. Experience in an environment interviewing clients and gathering personal information in-person or over the phone is preferred.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Sixty (60) semester or ninety (90) quarter hours from an accredited college or university is preferred.
Thirty (30) semester or forty- five (45) quarter hours from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one (1) year of required experience.
