JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Certified Public Accountant is responsible for generating billing statements and reports as well as assist with various audits. Our ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of bookkeeping, auditing, and budgeting procedures. You should also be able to monitor daily transactions and reconcile the general ledger regularly to always ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations. Previous work experience, along with a degree in Accounting and a CPA qualification is required for this role.

This position reports directly to the President

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Generate billing statement and reports
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual audits
• Review and approve expense reports
• Review and reconcile the general ledger regularly
• Contribute to forecasting and budget planning sessions
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations at all times
• Uphold the excellent reputation of our firm
• Maintain constant communication with management
• Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve shared goals
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• Organize and update financial records as needed (digital and physical)
• Analyze transactions and prepare reports
• Perform regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents
• Oversee ledger reconciliation and manage accounts payable/receivable
• Liaise with Tax Accountants to track tax payments and returns
• Monitor bookkeeping activities regularly
• Keep company financial information confidential
• Establish accounting policies and procedures
• Experience in insurance quarterly and annual reporting
• Experience with QuickBooks
• Exceptional computer skills and general software understanding, including Microsoft Office and databases
• Superior math skills and an analytical mind
• Consistent, accurate, thorough, and detail-oriented

QUALIFICATIONS

• Work experience as Certified Public Accountant
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Hands-on experience with accounting software; QuickBooks
• MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Exceptional organizational skills and aptitude for numbers
• Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Certified Public Accountant
• Minimum 5 years accounting experience
