Summary:
Develop a team that can integrated Specifications as a key discipline within the design process.
Direct and oversee operations within the specification writing discipline.
Direct the development and management of master specifications for practice and project types (including company, discipline, sustainability and quality specific content) using BSD SpecLink Cloud.
Direct and orchestrate quality reviews of project specifications.
Develop and monitor metrics surrounding the integration of Specifications as a discipline.
Manage other professionals responsible for creating specification content and templates.
Research, evaluate, recommend and implement emerging specification practices and tools.
Collaborate with practice leadership to plan budgets and purchasing.
Professionally represent and promote us within the industry and externally.
What you will need:
15 or more years of related technical expertise and 5 or more years in a leadership role.
Work experience in a medium to large sized architectural, engineering or construction firm or a small to medium sized specification writing company.
Knowledge of BSD SpecLink Cloud (competency preferred).
Expert competency with Microsoft Office.
Intermediate knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
Proven ability to thrive in highly collaborative environments.
Proven ability to manage and complete multiple projects.
Ability and willingness for limited travel.
Ability to establish and model positive, constructive and collaborative leadership.
