What are the responsibilities and job description for the Referral Specialist position at Healthcare Support?
Intro:

Daily Responsibility:
- Build prior authorization requests from provider submitted information
- Call providers to clarify any questions about request
- Assist in monitoring utilization of medical services to assure cost effective use of medical resources through processing prior authorizations
- Initiate authorization requests for outpatient and inpatient services in accordance with the prior authorization list
Requirements:
- 2 years of healthcare customer service experience (prefer call center, but will take provider office)
- Need to have strong medical terminology background
- Experience working with authorizations
Hours for this Position:
- $17/hour
