Broker Relationship Management team is made up of an elite, mission-driven team, highly consultative professionals who strategically engage regional brokerage/consultancy leaders drive greater and higher-quality growth. The Broker Account Executive will be responsible for building highly trusted relationships with regional leaders of designated high-performance brokerage and consultancy firms and leveraging sales savvy and thought leadership to help high-priority brokerage houses (from the Practice Leader to the individual senior-level producer) build a definitive preference for partnership with HealthEquity.  The Broker Account Executive will partner with HealthEquity’s Field Sales teams to optimize our brand awareness and improve win rate with top-priority brokers and consultants and spearheading HealthEquity’s efforts to renew its book of business with high-performance consultancy partners.

 

 

What you’ll be doing 

 

  • Collaborating constructively and proactively with HealthEquity’s Broker and Client Service teams to respond to brokerage/ consultancy service escalations; and
  • Developing and implementing a data driven strategy that maximizes brokerage-driven opportunities that enable HealthEquity to achieve short and multi-year sales targets
  • Build and refine effective business plans that demonstrate and deliver mutual value-add specific to each strategic brokerage relationship
  • Continually look for opportunities to build and strengthen HealthEquity’s relationships with broker and consulting partners via stronger engagement and consistent/improving satisfaction
  • Maintain and innovate a Broker Relationship Value Scorecard that highlight the value of sustaining a strategic relationship with HealthEquity
  • Schedule, configure and deliver Quarterly Business Relationship Reviews that create business value and differentiating insights to our most senior/ influential brokerage and consultancy contacts
  • Communicate professionally and at multiple levels within each brokerage firm; this includes listening carefully for market intelligence, anticipating nascent customer needs, and corresponding proactively.
  • Leverage HealthEquity’s customer and pipeline information specific to each strategic broker relationship to provide up-to-date pipeline and market analytics for HealthEquity’s senior field and executive team.

  • Proven ability to and strong skills to develop, deploy, and manage a strategic, evidence-based, data driven, and methodical plan to achieve short-term sales target while establishing and managing longer-term pipeline
  • Fundamental knowledge of sales, market trends and the consumer-directed benefits competitive landscape, with an ability to assess and consider these factors when developing sales strategies
  • Authenticity and trustworthiness that enables you to establish and grow meaningful relationships within a short period of time.
  • Excellent financial acumen, with an understanding of marketplace economics and awareness of margin contribution when selling
  • Highly creative and persuasive in communicating how solutions meet the needs of each unique prospective client.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, comfortable and poised in any setting from small face-to-face meetings to large conference-like presentations. Written skills are just as critical as verbal and/or presentation skills
  • Drive to succeed balanced by doing the right thing for HealthEquity’s clients and partners every time
  • Utilize data driven storytelling to demonstrate value

 

 

What you will need to be successful 

 

  • Previous experience as a benefits broker or consultant with a Top 15 firm preferred
  • Minimum 5 years sales and Broker Development experience
  • Ability to communicate in person, telephonically, written, and over WebEx
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Flexibility to travel at least once a quarter to visit brokers
  • This is a remote position, and the incumbent will work from home.
  • Travel (up to 25-50%) will be required to visit, brokers.
  • Evidence of exceeding aggressive sales goals
  • Ability to articulate a consistent organizational sales message to consultants/brokers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Marketing, Business Management)
  • MBA a plus
